Cloud Microphones’ Cloudlifter CL-2 Mic Activator is a two-channel “mic activator” that boosts the clarity and strength of your microphone signal while lowering the noise floor. Phantom-powered Cloudlifter CL-2 microphones and instruments avoid many frequent issues. XLR mics get 25dB clean gain, 1/4″ instruments and hi-Z sources 12dB. Cloud builds well. The Cloudlifter CL-2’s Neutrik combination connection and Cinemag hi-Z to lo-Z instrument transformer meet Cloud’s high quality requirements.

Noise-free amplification

When pushed, many preamps sound fantastic until the amplifier’s hiss and crackle enter the mix. Cloudlifter’s gain boost makes your mic preamp function better, letting you reach the levels you need without noise.

Totally transparent boost

Cloud Microphones’ Cloudlifter series uses direct-coupled, discrete JFET circuitry to maintain mic sound. No matter how much our transparent technology changes your tone, you’re still hearing your mic’s finest.

Instant ribbon preamp mod
