If you shoot videos with two speaking subjects on-camera, the U5T2 package doubles up on the transmitters and microphones. The U5’s wireless technology also allows you to broadcast your 2.4 GHz signal to more than one receiver, meaning you can send to two video cameras, or one camera and one mixer or audio recorder. The flexible U5 products are also available à la carte, so you can expand your system with a U5T Transmitter, U5R Receiver, LV1 Lavalier Microphone, LV2 Lavalier Microphone, or U5C Battery Charger with three U5B Batteries.

Two U5T wireless transmitters
Whether it’s a 2-speaker interview or audio from a mixer you intend to capture, Xvive’s U5T wireless transmitters are up to the task. Each beltpack puts level, channel, and mute controls in the speaker’s hands for added convenience. Screw in the included lavalier mics or connect a line-level 3.5mm TRS cable.
Camera-mount U5R receiver
Mount the Xvive U5R receiver to your camera or DSLR, and you’ve got a rack’s worth of audio tools at your fingertips. A crisp OLED display shows battery life, channel assignments, and audio levels for each connected transmitter. A stereo/mono switch allows you to pan interviewers to their own L/R channel for clean separation in post. You also get hands-on gain knobs and sub-6ms latency for powerful real-time monitoring and leveling control, right from your camera.
Three swappable li-ion batteries and accessories
One area where the U5 especially improves upon classic Xvive systems is its swappable rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Each battery is rated to provide up to five hours of run time per charge. Should you need more time on set, pop a few optional U5 batteries (not included) onto the included charging cables while shooting, and you’ve got the range to run all night. Working in close quarters? You can also leave the U5 transmitters and receiver plugged into USB power using the included charging cables for true charge-and-shoot operation.
