 The WarmAudio WA-8000 Tube Microphone, based on a classic tube microphone, gives voices a radio-ready shine with a wide-open, up-front tone. Warm Audio used new-old stock 6AU6 tubes, unique Lundahl transformers, and a custom K67-style capsule to replicate the WA-8000. The WA-8000, like the original, rests in a custom-designed exterior heat sink assembly to enhance performance. Warm Audio’s attention to detail includes equipping the WA-8000 with a Gotham Audio GAC-7 cable. The inspiration behind the WA-8000 used a K67-style capsule, a multipattern-capable microphone capsule found in several of the world’s most renowned tube microphones. Warm Audio meticulously reverse engineered the original design, fine-tuning the frequency response and machining the capsule out of solid brass. The result is a responsive, highly detailed microphone that accurately captures the nuances of any source. While the WA-8000 is destined to become your go-to vocal mic, it also excels on acoustic guitars, pianos, and other full-spectrum instruments.

The WA-8000’s custom-designed exterior heat sink assembly enhances your voice booth’s status beyond its good appearances. Warm Audio chose the tube for the WA-8000 Microphone from the source again for authenticity. They chose new-old stock 6AU6 tubes to give the WA-8000 its open tone and unique midrange after evaluating several brands. The tube and capsule are connected by a bespoke Lundahl transformer in a circuit that has produced several hits.
