It features the same HD modeling technology as its predecessor, providing pure, organic tones with 24-bit 44.1kHz audio conversion. With over 240 effects, including 140+ amp and cabinet simulations and 100+ modulation, distortion, and delay effects, the GP-200JR supports 20 user IRs and offers 255 patch slots. It includes up to 11 freely movable effect modules, a 180-second looper, and 100 drum patterns.

The unit is equipped with a sensitive built-in tuner, a 4.3-inch TFT LCD, and 3 customizable LED footswitches. Additional features include diverse I/Os, a built-in expression pedal, USB Type-C connectivity, and a rugged metal chassis, all powered by a DC 9V supply.
