The genius of the Minimoog
Time travel to 1971, when Walt Disney World debuted, Alan Shepard played golf on the moon, and Intel launched the first commercial computer. Dr. Robert A. Moog soldered the future of music in Trumansburg, New York. After the Minimoog launched last year, Bob and his tiny team of engineers and artisans worked hard to satisfy demand. The instrument’s success was justified. Synthesis left academia with Minimoog Model D. Before, only colleges had the resources and capacity for huge modular synthesizers. The Minimoog transformed such behemoths into a compact monosynth designed for live performance. Bob Moog established the standard for analog synthesizers.
