Classic Moog architecture
The colorful interface on the Moog Grandmother makes its lineage clear. You have easy access to dual analog oscillators, each with triangle, saw, and square waves. You can add noise at the oscillator mixer stage, and a utility section features a patchable 1-pole highpass filter and a bipolar attenuator. The classic 4-pole ladder filter offers a convenient key-tracking switch and large controls that are easy to find even in the dark. An analog LFO and ADSR envelope generator complete the onboard modulation options — and synthesists have come to love the dedicated fader to control envelope sustain.
