The IK Multimedia 2-pack iRig Mic Lav for Smartphone/Tablets is an omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone with a 30 Hz to 16 kHz frequency range and a foam pop filter to eliminate vocal plosives, wind noises, and other unwanted sound in iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android mobile applications. The iRig Mic Lav captures broadcast-quality audio in the field with on-board monitoring and a 1/8″ TRRS headphone jack. The 1/8″ TRRS connection connects and records two iRig Mic Lavs. Connect headphones to the second jack’s “monitor” switch to monitor a twin iRig Mic Lav arrangement.
Any app that accepts input from a headset connection is compatible with the iRig Mic Lav. Just hook up the 1/8″ TRRS jack to your device (iOS, Mac, Android & PC), open your recording app and you’re ready to capture quality audio. For headphones or a second iRig Mic Lav, the in-line connection contains a 1/8″ TRRS and a button.
