The Fender Limited-edition American Vintage II 1977 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar is a diligent modernization of Fender’s first humbucking pickup. It has historical appearance with contemporary comfort curves. The year-specific Pure Vintage ’77 Telecaster pickups provide rich humbucker tones and jangly single-coil sounds with plenty of twang in the Limited-edition ’77 Tele Custom’s balanced solid alder body with a body-hugging belly cut.
The guitar’s “C”-shaped hard-rock maple neck and vintage-radius rosewood fingerboard make it playable. Limited-edition American Vintage II ’77 Tele Custom: skirted knobs, 6-saddle bridge, “F”-stamped tuners, 3-bolt neck plate, glossy polyurethane finish. A Limited-edition American Vintage II ’77 Tele Custom is Fender history.
The 7.25”-radius fingerboard provides the comfortable playing feel of a vintage instrument, while vintage-tall frets make it easier to bend notes without fretting out.
In vintage years, the shape and thickness of Fender guitar necks varied tremendously. The American Vintage II Series offers a variety of authentic neck profiles from Fender’s past.
Specially voiced to reproduce the authentic sound and performance of individual model years, Pure Vintage pickups are constructed just like pickups from Fender’s golden years. Materials include cloth-covered wire, fiber bobbins and alnico magnets.
American Vintage II hardware replicates originals in appearance, sound, and function—from bridge to tuners. Some is made on vintage Fender machines.
