Electro-Voice ND46 Supercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphone

The Electro-Voice ND46 Dynamic Microphone is larger than the ND44 but has a complex voice and extended low range for close-miking guitar amps, bass cabs, strings, and percussion. The dynamic mic’s expressive top end keeps transients from getting lost in a mix, while the round bottom end is perfect for strong bass without boominess, like a cajon or cello. A push-to-lock pivot mount makes putting the ND46 in front of a speaker or on a floor tom easy. Side and back vents offer this mic a tight supercardioid pickup pattern to reject room noise, which engineers like for noisy stages and untreated recording conditions. Finally, an integrated shockmount prevents sympathetic vibrations from reducing headroom.
