Two new models are available. Wharfedale Typhon-AX12 Active Speaker – a 12” 2-way 720w Continuous active loudspeaker and an aptX Bluetooth enabled brother – the Typhon-AX12-BT. The all new internal amplifiers deliver over 140% more power than Titan-AX12.
The Typhon-AX12 is a high-performance active speaker designed for live sound, DJs, and professional audio applications. It features a 12-inch woofer and a 1.75-inch HF compression driver, delivering powerful bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. With a built-in Class D amplifier, it produces up to 720W peak power (360W continuous), ensuring high output with low distortion.
The Typhon-AX12 also includes two independent channels with XLR and TRS inputs, allowing users to connect microphones, instruments, or mixers directly. A Bluetooth version (AX12-BT) is available, offering wireless audio streaming. The DSP with 4 EQ presets optimizes the sound for different environments, and the lightweight yet rugged polypropylene cabinet ensures durability for mobile use.
