Description
The Wharfedale Delta X18B Passive Subwoofer , made of 15mm plywood and painted in high-quality Rhino Rock paint, has the Wharfedale Pro ‘boomerang’ insignia on its cabinet. In addition to the new look, the engineers made other improvements.It features a redesigned crossover design and setup inside. Using redesigned component location and bracing, the delicate crossover electronics have been re-engineered for long-term performance and durability at large quantities.
Delta X full-range models may be Bi-Amp or Passive with back panel switching. Delta X systems may use different amplifiers and crossovers due to routing flexibility. A custom Wharfedale Pro transducer was selected. High-output cast frame woofers with minimum physical distortion cannot match minimal-frequency responsiveness. Except for the Delta X10, 2” titanium compression drivers with 90°x45° elliptical waveguides produce high output and smooth HF dispersion.
