Delta X builds on Wharfedale Pro Delta’s worldwide success. Its 15mm wooden construction and high-quality Rhino Rock paint make the new Wharfedale DELTA-X12 Passive Speaker immediately recognised. Redesigned component location and bracing increase long-term performance and reliability in delicate crossover electronics, even at huge numbers. Delta X12 can switch between Bi-Amp and Passive modes on the back. Delta X systems may be enhanced with numerous amplifiers and external crossovers due to routing flexibility.
In BI-AMP mode, two power amplifiers are available. This lets you choose the optimal power amplifier for each loudspeaker driver. BI-AMP configurations require an external crossover to divide the signal to the specialised LF and HF amplifiers. Each amplifier powers the loudspeaker driver within its frequency range.
PASSIVE mode allows a single amplifier to power all loudspeaker drivers. The loudspeaker’s inbuilt crossover divides the complete frequency range and sends the proper frequencies to the right driver. The single amplifier powers the HF compression driver and LF transducer in a 2-way passive loudspeaker. The internal crossover separates frequency and power.
Internally Delta-X models have a new crossover design and construction. Using new component positioning and bracing, the sensitive crossover electronics have been re-engineered to improve long term performance and reliability – even at the highest of volumes.
