Sontronics STC-10 Instrumental Microphone Based on our ever-popular STC-1 pencil mic, the Sontronics STC-10 was launched with four other products to mark our 5th anniversary in 2010. Designed with exactly the same internal architecture as our other pencil mics, the STC-10 was purposely created to give producers and musicians an extremely affordable entry point into the ever-growing Sontronics range, without any sacrifice in sound or build quality.
Sontronics STC-10 Instrumental Microphone Features:
- Small-diaphragm condenser microphone
- Cardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture on the subject in front of the microphone
- 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with presence boost from 5 to 12 kHz and high-end roll-off above 15 kHz
- Pad with Off and -10 dB settings
- High-pass filter with Off and 75 Hz settings
- Standard 3-pin XLR connector
- Requires 48V phantom power
- Use for close-miking instruments
- Recommended for use on solo strings and woodwinds as well as acoustic guitars and other strummed instruments
- Pair with a second STC-10 (available separately) for overhead and stereo recordings
