The Moog DFAM (Drummer From Another Mother) semi-modular percussion synthesizer adds Moog-style analog drums to your synth system. The Drummer From Another Mother’s modular patchbay allows for infinite creativity and big analog beats without patching. LP/HP filters and dual oscillators provide a wide spectrum of sounds and timbres.Complete with a dynamic eight-step sequencer, the Moog DFAM is a versatile percussion synth with undeniable vibe.
The Moog DFAM’s two analog filters—highpass and lowpass—can shape its twin oscillators and noise generator in many ways. DFAM produces high-quality analog drum and percussion sounds, from dazzling hi-hats to deep kicks and thumps. You may create bursts, clangs, and other sound effects by modulating oscillator pitch, filter cutoff, and noise level using its patchbay.
DFAM’s sequencer offers pitch and velocity controls for each step, making real-time manipulation straightforward and satisfying. DFAM’s label as a percussion synthesizer won’t stop Sweetwater synthesists from making killer basslines. The sequencer and clock may be controlled by other Eurorack modules through CV inputs and trigger, velocity, and pitch CV outputs.
While the Moog DFAM (Drummer From Another Mother) can be used without patching any cables, there are endless possibilities when you use it with a Eurorack synth setup. You can even remove DFAM from its case and mount it into a Eurorack case (requires a 10- to 16-pin Eurorack cable, not included). With 24 CV In/Out patch points to play with, DFAM should be a welcome addition to any Eurorack setup.
