Mackie created the ShowBox for any performance. It first acts as a clean-busking acoustic guitar amplifier. Small groups and single performers may use the four Onyx80 mic preamps and line-level inputs as a portable PA. The 6-channel onboard mixer has amp and PA voicings for either use. The effects rack customises your sound even further. Finally, the ShowBox offers a USB-C port for recording and streaming to your computer.

Convenient performance tools

Setting up a Mackie ShowBox is simple. Mackie’s popular Mix Agent tool guides you through setup for a great sound right away. AutoMix adjusts up to four microphone gain settings automatically. Best of all, the ShowBox has a microphone stand-mountable breakaway controller. The breakaway controller lets you adjust practically every setting without returning to the speaker. The controller has a looper, an integrated tuner, input levels, effects, and EQ knobs.

Nearly all performers have smartphones. Bluetooth lets you transmit backing tracks or interval music from your cell phone to the ShowBox. Record your future show. No issue. ShowBox does it two ways. First, the microSD card slot records onboard. Second, record directly into your DAW by plugging your computer into the USB-C connector. The USB-C connector lets you broadcast your performance on a compatible streaming PC.
