Laminated sapele on NUS310 Soprano.Black sapele, a tropical African hardwood with a golden to dark reddish brown hue, looked great. It features interlocking grain, homogeneous texture, and excellent natural lustre like mahogany. The ukulele’s arching back concentrates its resonance for a great tone.Every ukulele has hand-drawn and laser-engraved rosettes.
Okoume Neck & Composite Fingerboard
The neck and fingerboard of the NUS310 Blackbird are made from African okoume and composite wood. Composite wood is an eco-friendly material, which is increasingly used in instrument making, because it helps to preserve tropical rainforests. It’s a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well.
Pitch perfect quality.
We use a high-quality black PPS nut on the NUS310 Blackbird Soprano, to keep the uniform black look of this ukulele.
