The Fender Vintera ’60s Mustang Bass recreates the appearance, feel, and sound of early Fenders. The Vintera ’60s Mustang Bass has a punchy Fender vintage-style split single-coil pickup, a quick “C”-profile maple neck, and a smooth, richly grained 7.25-inch pau ferro fingerboard for period-correct tone and playability. A 4-ply aged white pearloid pickguard and great vintage polish complete the ’60s look.
VINTAGE STYLE FOR THE MODERN ERA
For players who want the style sound of Fender’s golden era, we created the Vintera ‘60s Mustang Bass. Equipped with the coveted features that defined the decade—including period-accurate neck profile and playing feel, along with re-voiced pickups—this bass has all of the seismic tone that made the Mustang Bass a legend.
We voiced the split-coil ‘60s Mustang Bass pickup to sound like Fender. Its snarling tone made Fender the electric bassists’ preference. A 7.25”-radius fingerboard with 19 vintage-style frets gives the “Mid ’60s C” neck a classic playing feel. Antique tuning machines with 4-saddle bridges and threaded saddles provide original-era looks, rock-solid performance, and tuning stability. Chrome hardware, master volume and tone controls, and 4-bolt neck plate are also included.
