The sleek Fender Malibu Special Acoustic-electric Guitar, initially released in the mid-1960s, combines Fender’s famous electric aesthetics with the songwriter- and campfire-friendly flexibility of an acoustic. The Malibu Special’s mahogany top, back, sides, and neck provide a rich, smooth, and sustain-rich tone. A thin “C”-shaped neck profile makes it easy to play chords and riffs for extended musical moments without tiring your hand.
The Malibu Special’s Fishman Flex Body preamp technology blends body sensor and integrated piezo pickup signals for more sonic diversity than the Flex. Songwriters love the Malibu, and it’s obvious why!
