This guitar’s massive dreadnought body, Performance X-bracing, solid spruce top, and ovangkol back and sides provide full-bodied acoustic projection.

Premium all-solid tonewoods

All-solid acoustic guitars are more responsive, resonant, and sound better than laminate ones. The Fender King Vintage has solid ovangkol back and sides and a solid spruce top. Guitarists enjoy the King Vintage’s touch-sensitive solid spruce top, which reacts to both soft plucks and forceful flatpicks. Ovangkol back and sides add crisp highs, round lows, and a less rounded middle than rosewood.

Full-feeling modern “V” neck profile

The King classic mimics classic Fender acoustics from headstock to endpin. This guitar’s okoume neck features a modern “V” shape with a thumb ridge for grip. However, unlike many baseball-bat necks on retro acoustics, the contemporary V shape easily mixes old and new with a touch less heft, making it more comfortable for technically inclined guitarists. Finally, the neck includes a bone nut, an ovangkol fingerboard, and a 16-inch radius.
