Description
The Fender American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster Electric Guitar accurately recreates innovative designs that changed music. Each instrument preserves true Fender workmanship and tone with period-accurate bodies, necks, and hardware, premium finishes, and painstakingly voiced, year-specific pickups.
CBS design cues were ubiquitous by 1973 and adopted by rock, funk, fusion, and prog performers worldwide. Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert, In Concert, and Midnight Special gave Fender guitars more exposure than ever, establishing the Stratocaster’s pop cultural domination.
The American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster® embodies the period with Pure Vintage ’73 staggered pole pickups, a big headstock, two string trees, a “Bullet” style truss rod nut, and a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism. The “C”-shape maple neck with a 7.25” radius rosewood or maple fingerboard and vintage tall frets plays great.
